Ahmet Akhat

(Akhatbakiev Akhmetzhan)

Born April 4, 1954.

Lives and works in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Education:

1974 – Kazakh National Pedagogical University. Abai, art and graphic department.

1990 – postgraduate study at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Works in the following areas: painting, graphics, ceramics, tapestry, video and photography.

Titles and certificates of honor:

since 1988 – Member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

since 2004 – awarded the title of “Kazakhstani enbek sinirgen kayretkeri”

since 2004 – awarded the title of “Kazakhstan republics of madeniet salasyn uzdegi”.

in 2016 – the Honorary Diploma of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan was presented.

since 2018 – awarded the title – “Bilim salasynin uzdigi”.

since 2020 – Academician of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

He was awarded numerous medals of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Member of the Guinness Book of Records, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The works were exhibited at the international auction Christie’s, London.

Has a large number of personal exhibitions, among which the most important:

In 2020 – personal exhibition “The Creation of the East”, National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.

In 2019, he took part in a creative art residence on the island of Cyprus. For his personal exhibition of graphics he was awarded the Silver Key award, Cyprus Island, Turkey.

2004 – Anniversary personal exhibition at the Presidential Center of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana, Kazakhstan.

2002 – personal exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Astana, Kazakhstan.

1998 – Vashengton. USA.

1997 – Genoa, Italy

1993-2008 – Ankara, Turkey.
